Anti-Power Theft Campaign
We as a nation, suffer most from electricity prices these days. The prices of electricity are increasing day by day. Prices increase due to low recovery and high line losses. In line losses, the major contribution is Power Theft.
Power theft is common in Pakistan, people prefer to do illegal work in our country. Electricity prices are high so, people prefer to use KUNDA. They are willing to minimize their electricity bills without reducing their consumption.
The line loss rate in Pakistan is higher in the region and stood at 29.7%. Every year we bear a huge loss in electricity. In 2023 we bear Rs 838 billion in line losses during transmission. This is the main reason for the increasing circular debt of the power sector.

Conclusion
Power theft affects circular debt and it is increasing at a dangerous pace. If we want to eliminate circular debt we should stop the theft of electricity. We should implement this campaign in full swing to curb this problem. We should launch a campaign to educate the people about its harms and negative impact on the price of electricity.
This campaign brings a positive change in the recovery of bills and decreases line losses. The Govt. should try to keep this campaign active against the thieves and should protect consumers. Govt should also try to keep the prices of electricity low.
