LESCO Tariff
When we use anything we have to pay the price, in this case. Because the price of electricity for all consumers is not the same it is called tariff and LESCO has designed some slabs to charge its customers.
The customers are charged according to their usage i.e. for higher usage the price will be high. In this regard, the LESCO wants to provide shelter to its low-income consumers and wants to compensate them.
LESCO charges higher rates to consumers with high usage, fulfils its needs and covers its operation costs.
For this purpose, LESCO divided its consumers into two groups namely protected consumers and unprotected consumers.
If you want to study in detail about LESCO Tariff then visit LESCO Tariff Rate. There are some taxes in the bill which are called mis ( miscellaneous).
Protected Users
Consumers who use up to 200 units monthly for 6 months continuously are called protected consumers. For this category, the tariff is very low and is not affected by price hikes in electricity prices.
They enjoy the privilege of protected consumers. They did not bear even fuel price adjustments every quarter.
Un-Protected Users
The user who uses more than 200 units monthly falls under the unprotected users category. They bear higher prices and unit rates. Unit rates increase with the increase in units consumed.
They also bear fuel price adjustments every quarter. They also pay other taxes along with electricity prices.
